My coworker, Heather, is really fun to hang out with and luckily for me I got to hang out with her at the Pearson Community Center Youth Fair this past Saturday. The fair was at the beautiful Dr. William U. Pearson Community Center which opened in 2007 and is home to a gymnasium, learning center, fitness and exercise room, a multipurpose room, teen room, game room and much more. The fair offered information from organizations like The Animal Foundation, HELP of Southern Nevada, D.A.R.E., and of course The Volunteer Center of Southern Nevada. Wendy’s was even there handing out and accepting applications on the spot! It was a pretty calm event, but at least I was in good company.
The next Youth Fair is July 30, 2009 at the Dr. William U. Pearson Community Center. The same plethora of information will be available to attendees. So come out and get the free & fabulous info! Click here to follow The Volunteer Center on Facebook where we’ll post the information!
