My first class of the semester was this morning and it got me thinking about the upcoming months. There is fabulous weather, my birthday, Halloween, and TONS of awesome opportunities to volunteer to look forward to! Even if I, or you, don’t volunteer at these events, they are sure to be a great time if you want to attend. On September 5th AND October 17th there will be a wine walk hosted by New Vista Community. They are a non-profit committed to providing the intellectually challenged of all ages with equal opportunities and support so they may experience life to the fullest. For more info click here.
On September 26th the Las Vegas Weimaraner Club & Rescue is hosting their third annual Weim & Wine. It’s a great event which raises funds to support the dog’s basic needs such as food, medical bills, and training. If you’re interested in volunteering for this event click here. On Saturday October 3rd The American Cancer Society is having their "Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk" - this is benefiting a fantastic organization and will be a great way to spend a beautiful fall morning! A few of my co-workers, friends and family will be there too! For more info click here.
On Saturday October 3rd the March of Dimes is hosting their annual Signature Chef’s Special event. This event is always a blast and supports a great cause. They need outgoing, dedicated volunteers and also, have a great surprise in store for those who participate! Click here for more info.
On Saturday October 3rd the Foundation for Recovery is hosting a golf tournament. The Foundation for Recovery hosts programs and services for clients who struggle with varying addictions. (I volunteered at their art auction about a month ago – so much fun and very well organized!) Click here to find out more info on how YOU can help!

This event helps raise funds to support the mission of preventing and curing diabetes, and to improve the lives of all people affected. If you’d like to volunteer for this event, click here. On Saturday October 3rd the YMCA of Southern Nevada is hosting it’s 1st Annual Family Festival! Fun for everyone of all ages! It’s guaranteed to be a great time and not only do they want you to enjoy the festival, but you can volunteer for it! Click here to learn more.

Mark your calendars for Friday October 30th for the Easter Seals of Southern Nevada "Great Pumpkin Run". This is a 5k unlike any other AND the first Great Pumpkin here in Las Vegas! Start at Cashman Center, head through a cemetery, and back to Cashman for a Halloween themed after party! For more info click here.
