Graduation! (and a little bragging)

So on Wednesday August 19, 2009 my wonderful and fabulous AmeriCorps members and I graduated from our program! Such an exciting time and a huge accomplishment for us. Combined, over the past year, we served over 16,000 hours to our community! AND if that were to be converted into a dollar value it would be over $320, 000! Can you believe that?! I can not express in words my deep pride to be a part of such a spectacular team of individuals. Although I entered the program late, and will continue to serve for an additonal month, this experience has meant more to me than any other I've ever had. I've grown as a person, as a volunteer, and as a team member. My fellow AmeriCorps peeps have all been crucial players in that growth process. Above all else, the people I work with in the Volunteer Center have been AMAZING!!!!
