This September 11th, get involved, live united, and show support! This year the Volunteer Center and United Way of Southern Nevada are living united by sending our troops positive thoughts and wishes! They constantly work hard, devote selfless service on a daily basis and deserve appreciation.
On April 21, 2009, President Barack Obama signed legislation officially establishing September 11 as a federally recognized National Day of Service and Remembrance. Join us in supporting this historic and forward-looking observance by participating in our Thoughts and Wishes for Our Troops event. Get your family, friends, and co-workers together and assemble cards/notes/letters for our troops! Then snap a photo of your group putting together these well wishes! Drop off your thoughts and wishes at United Way of Southern Nevada!
