Honor a "Point of Light" with a Tribute

From our friends at Points of Light Institute:

We wanted to share with you a moving op-ed from today's USA Today written by George P. Bush, the son of Jeb Bush. The piece honors President George H.W. Bush's extraordinary leadership in the American voluntary action movement and discusses George P.'s own inspiring path to service. On Tuesday we will officially announce the star-studded Tribute Event honoring President Bush-- stay tuned for more exciting details.

Just a reminder, you can join us in showing the power of this idea by recognizing a Point of Light in your life, someone who has made an impact and inspired others, by participating in our Facebook Contest with a photo or written Tribute.

By participating in this contest you will have the opportunity to win a trip to celebrate with us at the exclusive Tribute Event in Washington, D.C. on March 21st.

Here is how you can participate:
· GO: To the Points of Light Institute Facebook page to enter the Tribute contest

· SUBMIT: Either an essay, a photo, or a photo and an essay that pays tribute to either President H. W. Bush or a Point of Light in your life

· SHARE: Your tribute with friends and encourage them to go to the POLI Facebook page and like your tribute. The tributes that receive top 3 likes on Facebook will be eligible to win an expenses-paid trip to Washington D.C. and attend the Tribute Event

· "LIKE": Your favorite tributes submitted by others
From the three entries that receive the most "Likes," a panel of Tribute Committee members will choose the submission that they determine best inspires a commitment to volunteer action.

We appreciate your commitment to voluntary service, and hope that through this contest we can spread the word about the many thousands Points of Light that are making a difference in communities across America.

For more information on our Tribute contest and a chance to win a trip to Washington D.C. go to the Points of Light Institute Facebook Page.
