The Tsunami 2011 Relief Fund - Help for Japan

United Way of Southern Nevada has established the Tsunami 2011 Relief Fund in response to the threat posed by tsunamis in the Pacific generated by the 8.9 magnitude earthquake off the coast of Japan.  The greatest need is for financial support which can be utilized to purchase what is most needed, when it is most needed.

Monetary donations to UWSN will be added to the United Way Worldwide Disaster Fund which will go toward long-term recovery and rebuilding as well as to meet the needs of those affected by the disaster.  If you would like to make a donation please call 702-892-2300.

  1. Thank you for your comment! We hope that providing legitimate options for people to donate time and money we can come together to help those in need. We have posted more updates about how to get involved on our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/pages/Volunteer-Center-of-Southern-Nevada/59474998197. We noted for individuals to be careful to only donate to legitimate charities and to only deploy to volunteer when requested.
