If you haven't had the opportunity to partner with the Volunteer Center for a national day of service don't miss these great upcoming opportunities; September 11 Day of Service and Remembrance, Make a Difference Day (October) and Family Volunteer Day (November).
By partnering with the Volunteer Center for a national day of service you are able to receive additional exposure for your organization through our social networks, newsletter and e-blasts to volunteers, partners and community members. Day of service partner organizations also have the benefit of engaging volunteers who are actively interested in participating in the day of service but who might not have thought to volunteer with the individual organization.
The Volunteer Center is looking for organizations with opportunities to volunteer on each day of service listed above. Ideal opportunities would engage 10-50 volunteers (or more), would be open to families with children as well as adult volunteers and provide a direct service to the organziation or the clients the organization serves. Past successful projects have included painting murals, installing a community garden, playground clean up/landscaping projects and BBQ/games with clients.
