May - Maximizing Your VC Partnership

New opportunities to promote your organization and volunteer needs!

If you've already taken advantage of being the Featured Partner Organization or had your volunteer opportunities higlighted as the Featured Volunteer Opportunity in our Volunteer Newsletter there are still opportunities to bring more attention to your volunteer needs.

The Featured Partner Organization has been added to our homepage as an additional perk to being listed in the Volunteer Newsletter.  Now any volunteer who visits our homepage will be able to learn a little about your organization and how they can get connected with the volunteer opportunities you have available.  Don't forget in order to be a Featured Partner your organization must have at least 3 volunteer opportunities available in the month you will be featured.

Another opportunity to be featured is through the Volunteer Center blog.  We are always happy to share stories from your volunteers or an article about what your organization is doing and how volunteers can help.  When submitting an article for the blog please send it to HeatherM@uwsn.org in Word (or similiar) format.  Articles should be no longer than 1 page and include pictures whenever possible.  Organizations must have at least one opportunity posted on our website in order to be featured on the blog so we can provide a link for volunteers to get connected to your organization.

Finally for the organization that needs instant visibility you have the option to be featured on our Facebook page.  Once your opportunity is posted on our website we will share the link to that opportunity with our Facebook friends so they can be informed about projects that need volunteers immediately.  To have your opportunity featured on our Facebook page please email KalahW@uwsn.org with the title of the opportunity and any additional details you'd like to share.  Remember Facebook only allows short snippets of text so keep your comments brief.
